There are many parameters which can be used to measure the performance of an automotive. However, speed if what people think of first if they were to compare different automotive. Take a look at these first five cars:
HENNESSEY VENOM F5 (301 MPH, CLAIMED)
Hennessey speed of 301MPH puts it at the top of the list and far much above its competitors. The engineering behind the design of Hennessey is astonishing as the car can move from a speed of 0 to 249 then back to 0 mph in less than 30 seconds. Its chassis is designed with Lotus Exige and is powered by a 1,600 hp, 7.4-liter twin turbo V8 engine.
SSC TUATARA (300 MPH, CLAIMED)
The new SSC Tuatara can go up to a top speed of 300 mph. It runs on 1,350 hp 91-octane gasoline engine. It weighs 2,750 pounds and its aerodynamics is better than its closest rivals like the Hennessey. The power from the engine reaches the wheels through a fully automated seven-speed transmission system.
KOENIGSEGG AGERA RS (278 MPH)
Koenigsegg Agera RS is the fastest car the world ever had but still cannot be ranked as the best car on this list. The specifications of its bitter rivals the likes of Hennessey venom F5 are better than what it has to offer. However, Koenigsegg Agera RS still remains the speed king.
HENNESSEY VENOM GT (270 MPH)
This car model recorded a speed of 270.4 mph in 2014 but that was not enough to give it the credit. At least, the speed should be taken when the car is moving in all the direction and the average calculated to account for the effect of wind. Despite its high speed, it never went down in the Guinness Book of World Records.
BUGATTI VEYRON SUPER SPORT (268 MPH)
Veyron can achieve a top speed of 268 mph and is powered by 1,200 hp engine. It goes down in the Guinness Books of Record as the fastest production car in the world.
