7-minute cake Recipe

Recipe for the 7-minute cake

INGREDIENTS

1 cup cake flour

3-4 tablespoon cocoa

4 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup sugar – I used castor sugar

pinch of salt

2 eggs

1 cup boiling water

1⁄4 cup oil

METHOD

– sift flour, baking powder,cocoa,sugar and salt.

– whisk eggs. make a well in center of dry

ingredients and pour in the eggs then cover eggs

with dry ingredients

-mix together boiling water and oil pour over

ingredients and use an egg whisk and whisk lightly

till smooth

-grease and line a round microwave dish. pour

mixture in. microwave on high for 6 minutes.

allow to stand in microwave for 1 minute then turn

out onto plate

– decorate as desired

For the chocolate topping, I melted 1 slab of Cadbury dairy milk chocolate in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Then I added half a small tin of nestlé dessert cream until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Then I poured it over the cake.
